The proposed innovation offers novelty, scalability, maturity, and potential for high-impact, cost-competitive, low-volume manufacturing.

While the Innovation need not be fully mature, barriers (ex: supply chain) are identified and plausible solutions offered. The submission describes how the solution leverages existing infrastructure (ex: open source software or hardware), if applicable, and the path to successful deployment.

The written document provides adequate supporting information to establish the feasibility of the proposed approach.

To manage a potentially large number of submissions, each Submission must comply with the Package Guidelines and the Competition Rules
Timeline
The competition launched on April 26th, 2016. Submissions will be accepted until May 31, 2016. Evaluation and judgment of submissions begins May 10 and will continue on a rolling basis until completed on June 10. Winners will be announced on June 15, 2016.
